The Jamaica Constabulary Force has stated that its aware of a video circulating on social media, showing a policeman dragging a woman who appeared to be unconscious.

Other persons in the video can be heard appealing to the cop to release the woman, saying that she has a sickness.

The officer is heard countering the claims, and questioning the woman‘s behaviour.

The JCF said a copy of the video has been sent to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB).

The police are trying to identify the cops involved in the incident and to gather information relating to what led to the actions seen in the viral video.

In the meantime, the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM is also aware of the video.

Speaking at a press conference today (February 17), INDECOM‘s Commissioner Hugh Faulkner asked for persons with information, to make a report.
