by January 30th, 2023

With the New Road Traffic Act set to come into effect on Wednesday February 1, the Jamaica Constabulary Force is ramping up efforts to educate police officers and civilians about the new regulations.

This is being facilitated through a two-day training conference being held under the theme, ‘Creating Safer Public Spaces Through Enforcement of the Road Traffic Act and Regulation.’

The conference began today (January 30), with participants being engaged face-to-face as well as online, via Zoom.

Speaking at day one of the conference, Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson said a road traffic act guide is being provided for officers.

He urged lawmen to ensure that they remain professional when enforcing the act.
