JFF president Michael Ricketts is acknowledging a first round victory in his bid for re-election to the post.
Ricketts was modest in accepting that 11 parishes had thrown their support behind him in the nominations which was closed on Friday.
Ricketts has just completed the remaining term of the late Captain Horrace Burrell who passed away in 2017.
Whilst the nominations might not necessarily transform into votes the former Clarendon FA president was gracious in accepting it had not all been smooth sailing over his first two year term .
Challenges from the former JFF Boss Tony James and the St Ann Fa President fizzled out after they failed to secure the minimum of four parish support for nomination.
