The hosting of the Annual General Conference of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is dependent on whether a General Election is called for this year.
Deputy General Secretary of the JLP, Dr Andrew Wheatley told IRIE FM News that if Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller calls an election for later this year, the JLP will host four regional meetings to deal with the party’s business.
However, he says arrangements are still in place for a General Conference if an election is not called.
He says that would be the last weekend of this month.
