JPS carrying out restoration work in affected areas

by September 25th, 2022

The Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS, says it is working to restore power to areas affected due to rain impacting the country.

JPS Corporate Communications officer Audrey Williams told Irie Fm news that sections of St James, St Andrew and Trelawny are currently without power.

She said, if weather permits, connections should be restored at the end of the day.

The company notes that waterlogged soil resulting from the rainy conditions and lightning, remain the biggest threats to stability of the power supply.
