The Jamaica Public Service JPS says restoration work is more than 95 per cent complete in most parishes.

However, some communities have remained without power supply, because of badly damaged infrastructure and access challenges.

Several outages were reported during the passage of Tropical Storm Grace.

The JPS says its teams will be working today (August 19), to restore electricity to most of the customers who are still affected by outages.

In a release today, JPS says it will be carrying out repairs in several communities islandwide.
