Justice Minister Delroy Chuck has revealed that a Justice of the Peace is being investigated for alleged corrupt activities involving an alleged gang leader.

The minister did not identify the JP.

He made that revelation at a Justice of the Peace sensitization training session in Montego Bay, St. James earlier today (Oct 6).

Chuck said preliminary probes revealed that the alleged gangster was directing the JP, as to who he should sign documents for.

It’s also alleged that persons are being charged fees for documents signed by the JP.

The minister said the Custos of the parish, where the JP is located, has been asked to suspend the JP and seize his seal.
