West Indies T/20 star Kieron Pollard has been cleared of any wrongoding by the Caribbean Premier League following an investigation and discussions with the player concerning the no-ball he bowled at the end of the Barbados Tridents vs St Kitts & Nevis Patriots match on September 3.

The incident stirred much debate across the region after he bowled the final ball of the match to Evin Lewis of the Patriots who needed two runs for his century.

Some pundits criticized the captain of the Barbados Tridents for what they deemed unsportsmanlike conduct.

However, there were others who said it was all part of the game.

For his part, Pollard welcomed the decision saying he maintained all along that the no-ball was not intentional.

Meanwhile, the Hero CPL said it remains firmly committed to ensuring that the tournament is played within the laws and spirit of cricket and welcome Pollard’s comments confirming that there was no ill-intent.
