by January 11th, 2018

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant became the second-youngest player in NBA history to reach 20,000 points last night.

Durant achieved the feat after scoring 40 points to lead the Cavs to a 125-106 win against the Los Angeles Clippers – putting him second only to Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.

Most impressively, he reached the feat at the second-youngest age at 29 year old, despite having elite scorers surrounding him on almost every team he has ever been on throughout his career. Only 44 players have reached 20,000 points in NBA history.
Russell Westbrook scored 38 points, and Carmelo Anthony added 15 all in a losing cause, as their Oklahoma City Thunder crashed to a 88-104 loss to Western Conference opponent Minnesota Timberwolves.
On other games, the Atlanta Hawks flew past the Denver Nuggets 110-97, Miami Heat fourth in the Eastern conference rolled past the Indiana Pacers 114-106 for their sixth straight win on the trot. Other winners were the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rickets , Detroit Pistons, Mephis Grizzles, La Clippers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
