Edwin Allen high school sprint sensation Kevona Davis captured the girls under 18 100 metres title at yesterday’s opening day of the JAAA’s Junior Athletics Championship at the National Stadium.

Davis won the event in 11.24 seconds, beating Briana Williams who was second in 11.30 seconds. Tyreke Wilson of Calabar won the boys equivalent who stopped the clock in 10.34 seconds.

Anika Brisset of st Jago stormed to victory in the girls under 20- 100 metres in 11.48 seconds, with Tasheka Cameron 11.57 seconds. Asahani Smith of St Catherine high won the boys under 20 – 100 meters as he crossed the line in 10.42 seconds.

The girl’s long jump title went to Tissana Hickling with a leap of 6.43 meters.
