Khadijah Shaw among overseas Reggae Girls for Concacaf Caribbean qualifiers

The talented midfielder Khadijah Shaw is among several overseas based senior reggae girls who will be invited to Jamaica’s national senior women’s squad, which is currently in preparation mode for the Concacaf Caribbean women’s qualifiers that is set to kick off in May. 

Although a full roster has not been released by the Jamaica Football Federation, Shaw who plays for the University of Tennessee in the United States, leads a us based aggregation that includes Konya Plummer, Shana Campbell  Trudy carter and Denesha Blackwood.

Many of Jamaica’s senior players who played in the local league over the years and at the national under 17 and under 20 levels, will also be invited at a later date.

Meanwhile a local based reggae girl’s squad will continue preparations this weekend at the JFF Centre of excellence at UWI, under the guidance of national assistant senior women’s coach Andrew Pryce.

The Reggae Girls are seeking to qualify for the senior women’s world cup to be staged in France next year.
