Kingston Hummingbirds could Berger Elite Netball League today

The Kingston Hummingbirds could win the three match Berger Elite Netball League on Saturday, when they take a one game lead in game two against the Manchester Spurs at the National Arena.

The birds guided by shooter Sabrina Spence, flew past the Spurs 61-52 to take game one last night.

The Hummingbirds led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter…..27-26 at half time…..45-37 after three quarters…..before easing to a 9-goal victory.

Spence before being substituted after being injured in the 4th quarter, Spence converted 40 of her 44 shots and goal attack Shanice Beckford went 21 of 24.

Goal attack Anna-Kay Griffith was the star performer for the Spurs with 36 goals from 40 attempts. Griffith was supported by goal shooter Giselle Allison who made 13 of her 18 shots.

Action in the third place decider saw 2017 winners St. Ann Orchids Beating St. Catherine Racers 47-45 to end their season on a victorious note.
