The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSAMC, will be taking further action against developers who proceed with construction despite being served notices to stop.

That’s according to Mayor of Kingston, Delroy Williams, who said he met with developers and over 90 percent of them, ranging from small family to commercial builders are compliant with the building laws.

He noted however, that some of those who breached the laws and had been served notices to stop, continue to build.

The mayor said the KSAMC will continue to take action to ensure compliance.

He added that the KSAMC will be clamping down on developers who carry-out construction activities on Sundays and public holidays.
