Kumar Bent leaves Raging Fyah

After eight years, three albums, and a Grammy nomination, Kumar Bent has severed ties with Raging Fyah.

According to Kumar, there is no bad blood. The lead singer and bass guitarist for the reggae band further explains that he made a conscious decision to focus on a solo career.

Kumar first made the announce to leave the band via social media with messages on Instagram and Facebook.

Raging Fyah is five-piece reggae band from Kingston, Jamaica, formed in 2006. They released their first album in 2011, and in 2016 signed to VP Records, with third album Everlasting earning them a Grammy nomination.

According to Raging Fyah’s official website, the group is expected to do a string of shows across the United States which will run from July 27 to August 4.

Raging Fyah is also billed to perform on Reggae Sumfest on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
