Jamaican winger Leon Bailey is being followed closely by Spanish Giants Barcelona.
The 20-year-old who plays for German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen was one of a trio of players that were watched on Sunday by Barcelona’s representatives.
Spanish newspaper sport is reporting that Barcelona’s sporting Director Robert Fernandez and chief scout Urbano Ortega were in attendance at the Bay Arena, where Bailey started as his team battled to a 2-2 draw at home to Wolfsburg.
Bailey who made 56 appearances over two seasons for top Belgium side Genk, was wanted by a handful of premier league teams last year but instead was advised by his father Craig Butler to hone his skills in Germany.
Bailey is yet to make a senior team appearance for Jamaica, after talks broke down between the JFF and butler ahead of the Jamaica teams friendly game against Saudi Arabia in Jeddah earlier this month.
