Liverpool have rejected a third bid from Barcelona for want away Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
The latest offer was worth £118 million (€129m) including add-ons and comes after two previous rejected bids from the Catalan side worth £72m and £90m respectively.
The Catalan side are desperate to land the Brazilian after selling Neymar to PSG for a world record fee and could be willing to go as high as €130m (£118.7m) to bring Coutinho to the Nou Camp.
The bid was however rejected by Liverpool who maintain their stance that Coutinho will not be leaving Anfield this summer.
Coutinho, who signed a five-year contract at Anfield in January, handed in a transfer request last week and has not featured in Liverpool’s first two games of the season.
Prior to his request, Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, released a statement saying “no offers for Philippe will be considered.”
The Reds after opening the Premier League season with a 3-3 draw away to Watford return to the pitch with a home game against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
