Macka Diamond plans virtual charity event to assist pregnant mothers

by July 15th, 2020

Macka Diamond is staging a virtual charity concert through her Macka Diamond Pregnant Mother’s In Need Foundation to aid expectant mother’s in Jamaica.

The veteran dancehall deejay was moved to take action, after 23-year-old, Jodian Fearon died at a hospital, shortly after giving birth.

Since then, Macka Diamond has extended empathy to pregnant women who may now be scared, and anxious, and has encouraged them to get the service of a mid-wife for safe home delivery, a service for which she is leading the charge to get funds to help those who may not be able to afford it.

Macka Diamond tells Music News that the funds from the ‘Pregnant Women in Need’ will also go towards the purchase of supplies for new mothers and their babies.

Headlined by Macka Diamond, the online charity concert slated for Sunday, July 26, will feature the likes of I-Octane, Alaine, Warrior King, Simple Cool Voice, and Don Bonez.

According to Macka Diamond, all donations are welcomed.

Macka Diamond Pregnant Mother’s In Need Foundation is the deejay’s first online charity initiative.
