The St. Catherine North Police have launched a major surge operation in the St. Johns Road communities.

This amid a surge in criminal activities including murders.

Last evening, 3 people including a mother and her son were killed in the area.

In a post on social media this afternoon, the Jamaica Constabulary Force said the operation will continue into the weeks to come.

It is urging residents of the area to cooperate with the police during the operations.
