A man was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with the police in Nain, St. Elizabeth, this morning.

He has not yet been identified.

One firearm was reportedly seized during the incident which occurred shortly after 1 a-m.

The Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau and the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM are probing the matter.
