One man was fatally shot during a confrontation with the police in Fruitful Vale, Portland this morning (February 15).

Dead is 32-year-old Dwayne Brooks, a merchandiser of Fruitful Vale, Portland.

The incident occurred about 1:00 a.m.

The matter has been reported to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
