The police are probing the death of a man whose body was discovered following a house fire in Westmoreland, this morning (February 26).

Dead is 33-year-old Andrew smith of Belvedere District.

Reports are that at about 1:30am residents heard explosions and saw fire coming from Smith’s house and summoned the police and firefighters.

Following cooling down operations Smith’s body was found under a burnt-out bed.
