A man was shot and killed and another wounded, during an incident in Iron River District, Golden Spring, St. Andrew, on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Tafari Hylton, otherwise called ‘Red’, a construction worker of Slipe Road, Kingston 5.

Reports are that about 1:00 a.m., both men left a wake in the community, and were driving motorcycles along the roadway.

Explosions were heard and the police were summoned.

Upon the arrival of the lawmen, Hylton was found lying on the ground, with gunshot wounds to the head.

The other man also sustained wounds.

They were taken to hospital, where Hylton was pronounced dead.

The other man is being treated.
