Manchester police restrict entertainment events in six violence-plagued communities

The Manchester police have imposed restrictions on entertainment events in six communities that are reportedly plagued by violence.

 

Divisional head, Superintendent Lloyd Darby said the police will not be accepting applications for events in Comfort, Broadleaf, Heartease, Greenvale, Newhall, and May Day.

 

 

He is reminding promoters that they must apply for party permits at least ten days before the scheduled date of the event.

 

Superintendent Darby is also imploring citizens, who are disturbed by events, to contact the police.

 

 

He was speaking at the Manchester Chamber of Commerce’s town hall meeting at the Manchester golf club.
