Irie Fm sports has learnt that former president of the Netball Jamaica Marva Bernard has been appointed the new president of the America’s Federation of Netball Association (AFNA).

Bernard who was previously the vice president of the international netball federation in charge of finance, was the chief organizer behind the recent successful staging of the (AFNA) champion of champions high school netball tournament held at the Leila Robinson Netball Courts in Kingston back in July.

The tournament which was won by Excelsior High School, had competition from secondary schools in Barbados, st Lucia and Trinidad.
