Mavado’s cousin Chase Cross has been charged with assault and released from police lockup.

Music News understands that entertainer Chase Cross was among a group of people including Mavado’s son who was arrested this week.

As for Vado’s teenage son, the 17 year old remains in police custody. Music News was informed that the teen was transferred from an adult facility to a lockup for juveniles.

Meanwhile, Mavado who is still wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the violence in the Cassava Piece Community is expected to turn himself in after fulfilling his contractual obligations in the United States according to his lawyer.

The Constant Spring police department issued a notice on Tuesday asking Mavado to report to the police for questioning.

The dancehall singjay was supposed to report by midday on Wednesday but he left the island before the order was issued.

All this stems following an incident in Cassava Piece where shots were fired at Mavado who escaped unhurt. Subsequent that saga a man was brutally murdered in the same community.

Police have since arrested and charged one man, while investigations continue in other matter.
