Reggae singer Maxi Priest will be the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in Arts and Entertainment award from the City of Miramar in Florida.

Alexandra Davis, the Vice Mayor of the City of Miramar will present the award to Maxi Priest at a special Black British Heritage Celebration, today Friday, October 25.

The Black British Heritage celebrations by the city of Miramar recognizes black British contributions to their community and the world. Maxi Priest, a British citizen by birth, was born to Jamaican parents in London.
