Mckenzie reminds citizens to conserve on water as drought continues

by July 10th, 2023

Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie is reminding citizens not to waste water, as the country is still facing a drought.

He was speaking during the recent opening of a water shop in Somerset, Manchester.

The Somerset Water Shop, which was constructed at a cost of $21 million will provide 40,000 gallons of potable water daily, to residents.

Noting that there have been situations where persons access free water in one area, and try to resell it in another, Mr. Mckenzie said this will not be tolerated.

He reminded citizens that water is a scarce commodity.
