Means the World – Alberto Campbell

Jamaica’s Para athlete Alberto Campbell is all set to don the country’s color for the first time when he steps out to run the 400 meters at the Tokyo Paralympics which gets underway on Tuesday August 24, 2021.

The Australian based Campbell who was born in Jamaica is the lone male track athlete representing the country, will be running in the T20 class.

He says its an honor to represent the land of his birth.

Campbell also spoke about how is preparations have been going to date.

Jamaica will be sending four athletes to the Paralympics including: veteran Sylvia Grant who will contest the discus, Shauna Kay Hines in Taekwondo and Theador Suba in Judo.

The Tokyo Paralympic games runs from August 24 to September 5.
