As Covid cases continue to increase daily, Medical Director of Windsor Wellness Centre, Dr. Alfred Dawes is urging public health officials not to panic.

This, as he says focus should be placed on hospitalizations and not case numbers.

Despite recording hundreds of cases daily over the past week, hospitalizations have remained mostly stable, inching up slowly.

Some 172 people are hospitalized with Covid-19 currently.

Dr. Dawes says the government should not be guided by the positivity rate, which has increased to almost 50 per cent in recent days.
