Miller bags 3 to give Jamaica Scorpions the edge vs Leeward Islands Hurricanes

The Jamaica Scorpions had the better of exchanges on the second day and are holding the upper hand heading into the penultimate day of the Digicel 4-Day Championship 4th round encounter against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park in St. Kitts.

The Hurricanes chasing 343 to secure first innings, closed the day on 209 for 6, still trailing by 133 runs with 4 wickets in hand.

Rahkeem Cornwall (28) and Terrence Ward (21) are the not out batsmen and have put on 59 runs for the 7th wicket.

Montcin Hodge who made an even 50 was the leading scorer on the day while the returning Nikita Miller is the pick of the Scorpion bowlers 3 for 56 from his 27 overs.

He is being supported by Oshane Thomas and Damion Jacobs who have a wicket each.

Earlier the Scorpions resuming on their overnight 315 for 7 were dismissed for 342.

Overnight half centurion Paul Palmer ended as Jamaica’s top batsman with 86 against Rahkeem Cornwall who took 4 for 86.
