Minister Marion Hall plans return to Dancehall

by January 28th, 2022

Minister Marion Hall says a collaboration with Shenseea is in the making, after being dragged across social media for criticizing a few female Dancehall entertainers.

On Thursday, Minister Hall sparked chatter across the social media platform after rebuking Spice, Shenseea, and Jada Kingdom.

In her stinging sermon, the minister of the Gospel admitted that she “didn’t do it right” during her time as a dancehall artiste.

In the sermon that has since gone viral, she called Shenseea “weak” and said that she is “still nowhere” in the music industry, and that she needs to rely less on the raunchy material and performances. Minister Hall also called Jada Kingdom weak, and said that Spice was stuck in the old way and needed flavour.

She also claims that American rapper Foxy Brown once accused her of wanting to take away her then-lover Dancehall star Spraggga Benz.

However, some social media users and industry players were not very fond of Minister Hall’s comments.

On Instagram, Downsound Records exec and producer, Skatta Burrrell said, “Mama just realized church has nothing to offer and don’t know how to return to the place that gave her prominence. Only sad that she took all her great achievements for granted.”

Also on Instagram, outspoken entertainer Tanya Stephens wrote, “A wah Beenie did say active again?” She continued, “This a go need nuff and added three popcorn emojis.

Meanwhile, some social media users asked, “Where is the lie?” and others stated that the minister was in no position to judge.

Moments later Minister Hall followed up with a second IG live revealing that she will be doing a song with Shenseea.

In another live Minister Marion Hall said “God tekk me from Dancehall so me a go back ina Dancehall go show mi sister dem sehh mi use to do it dah dutty way yah, but we ago do it da way yah, classy.

Minister Marion Hall, who got baptized in 2015, was widely known for her raunchy stage appearances as Lady Saw.
