by April 10th, 2017

National Security Minister Robert Montague is to meet with the new Police Commissioner to discuss the plans for the police force and look at ways to tackle the crime monster.

Deputy Commissioner of Police George Quallo was announced as the new Police Commissioner and will take up duties on April 18.

In January, the National Security Minister indicated that the new commissioner would be on contract which will have a performance agreement that will clearly outline outcomes, timelines, the targets and expectations.

Mr. Montague said at the time, the new Commissioner in applying must have a plan, as to how the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), will be managed, transformed and be accountable.

Irie FM News asked Mr. Montague today (Apl 10) about these plans.

He is also urging Jamaicans to support the new Commissioner.
