National Security Minister Robert Montague has received from the police, a comprehensive report into the Palisadoes traffic pile up incident on New Year’s Day.

A statement from the National Security Ministry says Mr. Montague is reviewing the document.

Mr. Montague had called on Police Commissioner George Quallo to provide a report on the circumstances that led to the traffic pile-up, which resulted in scores of people travelling to the Norman Manley International Airport, missing their flights.

The delay was reportedly brought about by improper parking by patrons at a party in the vicinity of the airport, and was later made worse when persons were leaving the party.

In the meantime, Mr. Montague has summoned Commissioner Quallo to a meeting at 9 a.m. next Monday, January 8, at the ministry’s Oxford Road office.
