She was expected to be medically examined.

Irie FM News has learnt that she will face the court on Friday on a charge of cruelty to a child.

The St. Ann police had reported that last Wednesday October 30, they received information and went to the community of Hessen Castle.

Police say they interviewed a female and were led to a pit toilet in the yard where the baby was located.

The St. Ann fire department was called to remove the baby from the latrine.

It was reported that while the operation was underway the woman suspected to be the mother left the scene.

The baby was taken to the hospital and the child development agency (now CPFSA) contacted.
