Head of the Portland police, Superintendent Lloyd Darby, is imploring motor vehicle owners to invest in technology to secure their vehicles from thieves.

He said motor vehicle theft is a concern in the parish.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Darby says the police have ramped up their enforcement and presence across the parish.

He is urging citizens to remain vigilant.
