Mount Pleasant FC continue to create more history in their first season of top flight football in Jamaica.

The st Ann standard bearers became the first newcomer advance to the semifinals of the red stripe premier league after scoring a one nil victory over university of the west indies in their return leg quarter final clash at Drax Hall yesterday.

François Swaby struck the all-important goal from the penalty spot in minute 27.

The result saw Mount Pleasant winning the tie 3-2 on aggregate following the two all drawn result in the first quarter final leg.

Mount Pleasant will now play defending champions Portmore United in one semifinal.

Assistant coach Nigel Stewart in giving his assessment of yesterday’s game also spoke about getting back to the drawing board for the semi final

Cavalier will take a 3 nil lead in their return leg quarter final against Arnett Gardens this evening at the Drewsland mini stadium starting at 8.35
