A third form student of the Munro College in St. Elizabeth died at the school, after an asthma attack.

Dead is 14 year old Diego Desouza. He was also a member of the school’s football team.

A statement from the Education Ministry today said Desouza was an affable, well-respected, student and prodigious footballer.

It is surmised that he passed away in his sleep, on the dormitory, in the early hours this morning.

Preliminary investigations reveal that his death was due to natural causes.

The school family, with the assistance of trained personnel from the ministry of education and surrounding schools, is providing all the necessary forms of support to the students and members of the school community.
