Murder sentencing of Mavado’s teen son put off to March 19

The murder sentencing of Mavado’s teenage son, Dante Brooks schedule to take place today (March 12), was put off until March 19 in the Home Circuit Court.

Queen’s Counsel Peter Champagnie, who is the legal representation for the 18-year-old, asked for an adjournment to peruse a social inquiry report which was served on him this morning.

Dante Brooks and Andre Hinds were found guilty in January of charges of murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and arson.

They were convicted for the death of Lorenzo Thomas, who was shot and killed in June 2018.
