Mutabaruka threatens legal action in Fantan Mojah saga

by February 8th, 2021

World-renowned dub poet Mutabaruka is threatening to take legal action against Reggae singer Fantan Mojah.

In a viral video, Fantan Mojah may have gotten himself into hot water after making baseless statements about the late Reggae legend Bob Marley, Mutabaruka, and former Miss World and the mother of Damian Marley, Cindy Breakespeare.

Muta tells Music News that Fantan Mojah must present his evidence or make a public apology following his claims. The veteran radio broadcaster further states that Fantan Mojah will have to speak with his lawyer if he’s unable to produce evidence to support his claims.

Mutabaruka is responding following Fantan Mojah’s accusations that Muta called him out for his raunchy lyrics in ‘Fire King.’

However, Mutabaruka further states that he did not call or mentioned Fanton Mojah’s name.

The video for the controversial song, shows Fanton Mojah surrounded by skimpily clad women at scenes set in a bedroom and at a poolside living what he calls a “King life.”

Straying from his cultural roots, Fantan Mojah sings the lines “Gal dem call mi di fire king, touch gal hard mek dem vomiting.”
