MVP head coach Stepen Francis is among the greatest track and field coaches of all time according to a Jamaica sports issues poll done by the association of media professionals.

According to the poll which asked respondents to agree or disagree, a combined 54.46 either strongly agree or agree.

almost 40% of the respondents were uncertain while the other 7.6% either disagreed or strongly disagreed.

Apart from Francis’ great body of work over the years, it’s fair to say that his athletes have dominated the sprints and other events at the recent track and field championships.

These include the likes of double sprint champion Shericka Jackson, 100m champion Rohan Watson, Tajay Gayle, and Jeniieve Russel, Kishane Thompson’s 9.91 is also in the mix.

The survey which was conducted by Dr. Paul Bourne and Conroy Julian of the association of media professionals, A.M.P., has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 point five percent.

Data collection for the amp poll took place between June 13, and 24, among respondents 18 years and older. 

The sample size was 2660 –  2246 persons in all 14 parishes responded, an 84.4 percent response rate.
