Nathon Allen opens 2018 outdoor season with big personal best

Former St Jago high standout quarter miler Nathon Allen opened his 2018 outdoor season with a huge personal best in the 200 metres at the Tiger Track Classic on the weekend. 

The University of Auburn Sophomore won the men’s event in 20.39 seconds well ahead of Arkansas state senior Jaylen Bacon (20.77) in heat 1.

This marks surpasses the 20.82 set last year at the same meet.

However, the mark is the 4th ranked time nationally this year, is 2nd in the sec and makes him the sixth-ranked 200meters performer in auburn’s history.

This is the former St. Jago high school standout’s first race of the outdoor season after a successful indoor campaign that saw him win 400 metres bronze in the SEC Indoor Championships and 5th at the NCAA indoor championship
