National throws coach Julian Robinson is the Nacac coach of the year.

Robinson guided world’s number one male discus thrower Frederick Dacres to the commonwealth games title this year, and the Nacac accolade before he claimed the diamond league and continental crowns.

For his exploits Dacres was also named Nacac’s male athlete of the year.

Travis Smikle, another athlete coached by Robinson, was also in the mix after taking silver at both commonwealth games and Nacac senior championships – he was also the bronze medal winner at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) games.

At the junior level, Robinson is also responsible for the gold medal success of Kai Chang, who won the world under 20 discus title.

Carifta under 17 shot put and discus champion Zackery Dillon added to Robinson’s 2018 achievements.
