The Jamaica Basketball Association has reported that it received a positive feedback from all the teams who attended a recent National Basketball League (NBL) meeting ahead of the proposed start for the 2018 season on January 20.

The NBL includes teams from across all four conferences islandwide, that is Southern, Eastern, Central and Western Conference.

The last time the NBL was played was back in August 2013 when the Urban Knights defeated the Spanish Town Spartans to win the title 57-53.

President of the Jamaica Basketball Association Calvin Martin says all the teams are fired up ready to play in the upcoming season.

“ The NBL teams have been in active for far too long, and in the discussions with them, they all are generally happy and upbeat that they will be playing again, it’s just a matter now of maintaining the dialogue with our potential sponsors to get things in motion.”
