NEPA investigates fish kill in Kingston Harbour

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is urging, the public not to collect dead fish for consumption, or use the water in vicinity of Jamaica Aggregate and Carib Cement Company limited area in Kingston.

 

This as the agency says it is investigating the report of a fish kill that occurred in the area.

 

Manager of Public Education and Corporate Communication at NEPA Olyvvia Anderson says a joint technical team from the Veterinary Services division and the agency was deployed to investigate the report.

 

 

She says samples were collected for laboratory analysis to determine the cause of the incident.
