New Jamaica Basketball Association President Paulton Gordon to meet with New Executive

Newly elected president of the Jamaica Basketball Association Paulton Gordon says he will be meeting with his team as soon as possible, to examine how to collectively tackle the myriad of problems that currently faces the association.

Gordon who defeated major Clifton Lumbsden 14- 11 in the yesterday’s election of officers at the offices of the Jamaica Olympic association in Kingston, faces several challenges that includes the administrative improvement of all four conferences island-wide, as well the acquisition of new sponsors to fund the various leagues including the NBL , the youth and senior national programmes.

Gordon defeated major Clifton Lumbsden 14- 11 in the yesterday’s election of officers at the offices of the Jamaica Olympic Association in Kingston.

Galton Taylor from the western conference defeated Trevor Poyser from Lumbsden slate 13-12 for the first vice president post, …….while Trudy-Ann Riley who ran on Gordon’s team won the second VP Position as she turned back former WNBA player Simone Edwards 18- 7.

Kevin alexander who ran on Lumsden team won the treasurer’s post defeating Daisy Pedley 15-10, while Jason Moses will serve as assistant treasurer, following his 13-10 triumph of Albert Carcho from team Lumbsden.

Pauline Richards ran unopposed for the capacity of general secretary after Douglas Reid withdrew.
