New Zealand takes one nil lead in three match T/20 series vs Pakistan

New Zealand won the opening Twenty20 against Pakistan by seven wickets with 25 balls to spare in Wellington on Monday.

Colin Munro was left 49 not out as the Kiwis chaisng 106 runs to win and little trouble in reaching their target for the loss of three wickets in the 16th over. Tom Bruce chipped in with 26.

This against Rumman Raees who snatched 2 fir 24, with the other wicket to fall going to Shadab Khan who picked up 1 for 18.

Earlier Pakistan batting first were all out for 105 with two balls remaining in their innings.

Babar Azam top scored with 41 while Hasan Ali chipped in with 23, as bowling for New Zealand Tim Southee took three for 13 and Seth Rance had figures of three for 26.

The second game will be played in Auckland on January 25.
