Nicki Minaj samples Danny Browne’s Filthy Riddim

Hip hop star Nicki Minaj has sampled Danny Browne’s 1998 hit riddim “Filthy” on her newly released single, Megatron.

Nicki’s dancehall-inspired single has had international publications such as Forbes, and Billboard label the track, the party song of the summer.

Producer Danny Browne who after negotiations granted Nicki Minaji and her team permission, gives Music News the 411.

Produced by Danny Browne for his  Mainstreet Records, the “Filthy Riddim” gave birth to some classics including Lady G.’s “Breeze Off”, Spragga Benz’s “She Nuh Ready Yet”, Mr. Vegas’ “Heads High”, and General Degree’s “traffic Blocking”.

Meanwhile, the dancehall inspired Megatron marks the first solo song by Nicki Minja this year.
In relating news, veteran producer Danny Browne is advising young and upcoming producers to create dancehall rhythms that are authentic to the genre.

The producer during the Music News exclusive, explains that he’s troubled by some of what he hears today.

“Danny” Browne is a prolific Jamaican Reggae-Dancehall multi-musician & producer since the 80s.
