by November 6th, 2017

Ninja Man’s absence in Home Circuit court today has fueled further reports that the entertainer’s condition may be serious.

Supreme Court Judge Martin Gayle ruled today that the murder trial must continue in the deejay’s absence. The judge’s ruling followed a brief hearing in chambers with lawyers for the Crown and defense as it relates to Ninja Man’s ill-health.

The dancehall deejay complained of having chest pains last Friday and was rushed to a medical facility for treatment.

While family members are tight-lipped about Ninja Man’s condition, new details are that the veteran dancehall deejay remains hospitalized.

Last week Ninja Man gave his consent to have the trial continue in his absence. So far, two witnesses who allegedly implicated Ninja Man in the murder have testified. One of the witnesses will be cross-examined today.

Ninja Man and his son along with Dennis Clayton, are on trial for the murder of Ricardo Johnson also called Trooper. He was shot and killed eight years ago on Marl Road in Kingston 11.

The men were on bail but Justice Martin Gayle remanded them in custody when the trial started last month.

They will remain in custody until the trial is completed.
