The insurable wage ceiling, for the National Insurance Scheme, (NIS), has been increased to $5 million dollars.

Labour Minister Karl Samuda said the increase became effective, on April 1.

Mr. Samuda said the previous increase in the ceiling last year, has been good for the National Insurance Fund, (NIF).
