No football costing 1.5 billion dollars!

by April 15th, 2021

One and half billion Jamaican dollars or US one hundred million is the estimate cost for football not currently being played in Jamaica.

That’s the finding of CONCACAF Programmes and Special Projects Coordinator Howard Mcintosh who was speaking recently in the virtual forum that dealt with the question – Has the delay in restarting the sports industry cost us too much?

There has been no competitive football action in Jamaica for a year now due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic and calls continue to get louder for sports especially for professional athletes to resume.

Mcintosh added the focus must be to return elite athletes to work
